Enjoy peace and tranquility on our thirty seven acre farm set
on the old volcanic rim above Akaroa Harbour.
Enjoy the benefits of a rural setting, yet only 1 kilometer
from the many attractions of Akaroa.
Stroll through the gardens and orchard beside the meandering stream,
or explore the many walks with stunning harbour views.
Akaroa is only two minutes drive away.
There are some wonderful walking tracks to explore and
plenty of restaurants to choose from in the village

We offer a relaxing and welcoming environment in our
spacious home with three separate living areas.
The lounge, for guest's use, with its magnificent open fire and kauri parquet floor
which we crafted ourselves.
The house is centrally heated by a wood stove in the kitchen area. Large beams,
slate and brick floors add to the ambiance.

 The Potager Suite
Upstairs within the house the Potager Suite enjoys a
magnificent view of the hills, sea and potager garden
Luxurious queen bed with wool underlay.
Breakfast options include French crepes, bacon eggs
and tomatoes or homemade muesli.
We cater for vegetarians.

Adjacent to the bedroom is the romantic marble and
kauri bathroom for your own use.
The bath is large enough for two to soak in with candles
and a bottle of wine. There is also a separate marble shower
in the bathroom.

Surrounding the house are patio and potager garden for you to enjoy
Your hosts Mark and Wendy have traveled widely and
love meeting new people.

The Apartment - a romantic retreat
Self catering or breakfast delivered.
Is an elegantly decorated self contained apartment with ensuite bathroom and rough sawn macrocarpa ceiling.
Your own haven with queen-sized bed " like floating on a cloud".
A DVD player with small selection of DVDs is provided as well as CD player.
The downstairs sitting room opens onto a private patio which outdoor furniture and goldfish pond.
The view of the hills is amazing and you may be lucky enough to see a golden sunset.
The apartment has it's own private entrance and parking area. There are tea and coffee making facilities with tea and coffee provided. Toaster, microwave and fridge available in the kitchenette.

Akaroa is about 1 hour by car (80 km) from Christchurch.
The drive gives you spectacular views of Akaroa Harbour
and the tranquil former French settlement itself.
Take highway 75 from Christchurch,
leading all the way to Akaroa.
Turn right down the main street, Rue Lavaud.
Take the first left onto Rue Grehan.
Follow Rue Grehan for around a kilometer
on the sealed section and continue for
another 500m along the gravel road.
You will find Kokupu Farm on the left.
